Dicarpale
Mrs. Audrey D’Souza, Sister of Sr. Isidora. In the year 2001 she offered her house, promised by her mother, to the Sisters of St. Joseph of Tarbes to open a community in Bardez, Mapusa, Goa. Sis. Georgina and Loretta (Councillors) visited the place on 5th June 2001.
Mgr. Raul Nicolau Gonsalves, Archbishop and Patriarch of Goa welcomed the Sisters officially through a letter dated June 4th 2002. He sent another letter, permitting the Institute to open a Nursery school and an open school in Dicarpale.
The Pioneers – Srs. Emma Machado ( Animator ), Shanthi D’Souza, Sharmila Fernandes and Ann Brito were chosen. On the 8th of June 2002, feast of the Immaculate Conception. Fr. Antonio Lopez, the Parish Priest of Bardez parish welcomed them warmly and made their stay very comfortable.
The people noticed that this community was different from all other institutionalized religious houses they had seen.
