Malwani
After a trial and search of ten long years for a suitable spot, a second house in Mumbai was established in 1998. It was a call to Malwani, Mumbai.
St. Anthony’s parish had opened a socio – medical centre in 1998 to help the sick and the poor of the place.
Fr. Peter D’Mello, the parish priest of St. Anthony’s Church, Malwani requested our Sisters to take up this mission.
Initially there was no house available for the Sisters who were to take up this mission. Later they secured one.
The blessing of the house was fixed for the 15th of November 1998.
Srs. Seraphine Menezes and Jacintha Selvam were to be the first community members. Sr. Pauline Lopez arrived from England. She invoked God’s blessing on the new foundation and shared the joy of the community.
