Chaira
The curtain was drawn on Bundu community, but life went on otherwise then in a dream. Almost simultaneously, God soothed the pain of our sisters by opening another door. This was a call to Charia, in the diocese of Jamshedpur, through the Jesuit fathers of Jamshedpur. In fact the Jesuits had been telling sr. Maria Theresa several times to open a house in Jamesdpur. This call had the full endorsement of Bishop Felix Toppo. Sr. Marie Neige, superior General and Sr. Euphrasia, Provincial superior visited Chaira and studied the place. After that, they decided to accept the offer. Our sisters were greatly consoled that before they get over the pain of closing the house in Bundu, God had revealed his will to open this millennium community. So carrying their bag and baggage the sisters moved to Chaira. The community was formed on 27th may 2000 with Sr. Elsy, the sector coordinator as the animator with Srs. Vijaya Rathna, Prafulla Panna and Vikas Lakra. The Fathers had replaced the old house with an improved mud house and provided basic facilities for the sisters to live in.
